Abdominal cərrahi əməliyyatlardan sonra yaranan ağırlaşmaların obyektiv və standartlaşdırılmış qiymətləndirilməsi cərrahi nəticələrin müqayisəsi və müalicə keyfiyyətinin yüksəldilməsi baxımından mühüm əhəmiyyət daşıyır. Bu icmalın məqsədi əməliyyatdan sonrakı ağırlaşmaların qiymətləndirilməsində istifadə olunan əsas təsnifat sistemlərinin klinik praktikada tətbiq xüsusiyyətlərini təhlil etməkdir. İcmalda Klavien–Dindo təsnifatı, Akkordeon Ağırlıq Qiymətləndirmə Sistemi və Hərtərəfli Ağırlaşma İndeksinin formalaşma prinsipləri, üstünlükləri və məhdudiyyətləri müqayisəli şəkildə nəzərdən keçirilmişdir. Göstərilmişdir ki, müxtəlif təsnifat yanaşmalarının məqsədyönlü istifadəsi əməliyyatdan sonrakı nəticələrin daha dəqiq qiymətləndirilməsinə və cərrahi xidmətin keyfiyyətinin artırılmasına imkan yaradır.
